Senior Process Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Vienna or Puch near Hallein / Salzburg

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in process engineering for projects related to process plant construction in the pharmaceutical or biotechnological sectors.
  • Lead a project team and collaborate with both internal and external departments.
  • Plan the process engineering design and perform calculations for basic operations or piping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with qualification standards according to cGMP regulations (IQ and OQ).
  • Oversee commissioning activities in production at Puch and at client locations.
  • Coordinate and manage project documentation effectively.
  • Act as the primary contact for assembly and your project team.

Qualifications

  • Possess a degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., process engineering, food and biotechnology, pharmaceutical technology, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, environmental technology, etc.).
  • Have a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry with several years of experience in plant engineering.
  • Demonstrate experience in leading project teams (including planning groups, on-site assembly managers, and sub-teams).
  • Possess project management experience or have participated in additional commercial training.
  • Have extensive experience in commissioning, documentation, and qualification of systems.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to quality with in-depth knowledge of regulations governing pharmaceutical plant engineering (cGMP, GEP, GAMP, etc.).
  • Possess excellent English language skills.
  • Demonstrate strong self-organization and a structured working style.
  • Be open to international travel and flexible with scheduling (willingness to travel primarily within the DACH region, with the possibility of being home every weekend).

This position offers a minimum salary in accordance with the Austrian collective bargaining agreement for the metalworking industry. Additional compensation may be available based on your qualifications and experience.
