We're a specialist for high-scaling web services, based in the Austrian Alps. Our team is looking for someone to strengthen our backend expertise and help us develop sustainable solutions for high-traffic websites, video streaming apps, and Big Data applications in the IoT area.

About the Role

The ideal candidate has several years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on scalability and performance. A background in Kotlin is an advantage, but not a requirement. We offer the opportunity to reorient yourself technologically and explore new frameworks and tools.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of highly scalable (micro) services using modern technologies
  • Selection and integration of suitable frameworks and tools for efficient solution design
  • Development of multi-platform applications with a focus on user experience and performance
  • Collaboration with our agile team to co-responsible for cross-project backend architecture
Requirements
  • Several years of experience in backend development with a focus on scalability and performance
  • Familiarity with Kotlin or willingness to learn this language
  • Experience working in small teams with agile methodologies
  • Possessability of SQL skills and knowledge of database management systems
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Compensation and Benefits
  • An estimated salary range of 80,000 - 120,000 EUR per year, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Flexible work location options: office in Dornbirn, full remote or partially remote
  • Free working hours (except for the daily team meeting)
