About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantitative Analyst Intern to join our Carbon Calculation & Targeting team at Erste Group Bank AG. As an intern, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our greenhouse gas emissions calculations and decarbonization modeling framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the performance of carbon calculation and decarbonization modeling tasks
- Support the team in continuously improving the methodology and processes of the carbon calculation & targeting framework
- Develop and enhance the carbon calculation & targeting infrastructure and simulation platforms
- Contribute to the development of portfolio-based decarbonization models and targets for selective industry portfolios
Requirements
- Ongoing studies in a quantitative field (environmental focus an advantage), e.g., mathematics, statistics, environmental engineering, computer science, physics, or quantitative finance
- Proficient use of statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python)
- Focused and analytically minded individual with a problem-solving mentality and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German and/or a CEE language an advantage
