Network Security Engineer Job Description

Octapharma, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced network security solutions to protect our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans to ensure network security best practices.
  • Provide architectural consulting expertise to local network engineers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on network security products, services, protocols, and standards.
  • Create and maintain documentation on network security configuration, mapping, processes, and services.
  • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Review and recommend improvements to our existing network security architecture and technology.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in network security, with a focus on global or enterprise environments.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNP Security.
  • Experience with Cisco security product portfolio.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral).
  • Strong communication, self-organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
