Embedded Software Developer

Riedel Communications is a leading provider of live production tools in the media, sports, and entertainment sectors. Our company is divided into three business units: Product Division, Managed Technology & Riedel Networks.

Our Product Division

We develop, produce, and distribute audio, video, IT, and communication solutions. Our live production tools for the media, sports, entertainment, and corporate industries deliver high-quality and state-of-the-art products that are among the most innovative in the industry.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain embedded software for a wireless intercom system.
  • Plan, design, implement, and test components for the embedded software and the Linux operating system.
  • Demonstrate ownership of dedicated areas of the system's software architecture.
  • Participate in sprint planning and cross-functional company initiatives that foster collaboration.
  • Participate in code reviews and make technical contributions to product architecture as well as getting involved in solving bugs and delivering small features.
  • Participate and implement process improvements.
  • Improve product quality, security, and performance.
  • Engage with business and technology requirements in design & development.
Requirements
  • University degree or similar technical education in a technical discipline preferably in computer engineering and/or electronics.
  • Experience in embedded software development.
  • Very good knowledge of C++ including STL and objected-oriented software design.
  • Experiences in test-driven development (TDD) is an advantage.
  • Experiences with Linux and tools such as git, Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience in agile software development methodology.
  • Good knowledge about standard Internet protocols is a plus.
  • The candidate is expected to be self-driven, with strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to developing high-quality software.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus.
