Regional Business Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Business Developer to drive our growth initiatives in Asia Pacific. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategy, venture capital, private equity, and mergers & acquisitions, with a deep understanding of the real estate and construction industry in the region.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in scouting new business opportunities, deal origination, and post-merger integration, while contributing to the development of our external network and fostering relationships with key players and advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Strategy and M&A in Asia Pacific with strategy development and implementation
  • Collaborate with the Group Strategy team to optimize the portfolio, create value, and enhance competitive positioning

Growth Strategy & Portfolio Management:

  • Support the Chief Growth Officer and his team with deal origination and scouting activities, leveraging industry networks and market insights
  • Work closely with Group Functions and local country organizations to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
  • Identify and manage strategic growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions, partnerships, and investments
  • Oversee the portfolio of new business opportunities, monitoring performance and value creation

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (or a related field)
  • 10-15 years of relevant business experience in strategy, venture capital, private equity, mergers & acquisitions, or similar fields
  • Experience working in Asia Pacific markets with a deep understanding of regional business dynamics and the real estate and construction field
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling
  • Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable growth strategies
  • Expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders across different geographies
  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of one or more local languages of Singapore or Malaysia is a strong advantage
  • Willingness to take on international assignments (50% travel)
