Production Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Automation Specialist to join our DNA synthesis team at Ribbon Biolabs GmbH. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining automated production systems, ensuring the efficient and reliable manufacturing of our DNA products.


Key Responsibilities:

The Production Automation Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and maintaining automated production systems, including robotic workstations, liquid handling systems, and other automated equipment.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, calibration, and troubleshooting of automated instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitoring production processes and equipment performance, identifying and addressing technical issues or abnormalities.
  • Collaborating with engineers and scientists to develop and implement automation solutions for improving production efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Configuring and programming automated systems to execute production protocols and workflows.
  • Conducting equipment validation and qualification activities according to regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Documenting equipment maintenance activities, troubleshooting procedures, and automation protocols in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Experience in the operation and/or maintenance of life science instruments/equipment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and accurately record and complete technical/production documentation.
  • B2 Level proficiency in English (written and spoken).
