About the Job
We are looking for a highly skilled MES Software Specialist to join our team. As a MES Software Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Your tasks will include ensuring the smooth operation of the MES, identifying and resolving errors, developing interfaces for various systems, and collaborating with our existing MES team.
Responsibilities
- Development and optimization of the MES
- Ensuring the smooth operation of the MES (server infrastructure)
- Error identification and error resolution in the MES environment
- Development of interfaces for various systems and connection of these to the MES
- Collaboration with the existing MES team
- Support for digitalization projects
- Collaboration with other departments and external partners
Requirements
- Completed education (vocational training, university, etc.) or at least 5 years of experience in this field
- Experience with the connection of shopfloor systems to multi-layered overall systems
- Administration and maintenance of an MES (iTAC) is an advantage
- Knowledge of REST APIs, web applications, and common scripting languages for data export
- SPS (STEP7, TIA) and IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, TCP, IP) and tools like Grafana; Node-RED should not be foreign to you
- Experience in the following areas would be desirable (databases/SQL, IIoT/IoT protocols, basic network technology, broad IT basic knowledge, cloud computing)
- Sense of responsibility and independent working style
- Team skills and humor are among your strengths
- Communication and presentation skills in German and English
- Analytical thinking and joy in communication with the departments
- Self-initiative and conscientious working style, as well as willingness to develop
- Problem-solving competence and analytical thinking
Additional Information
The gross annual salary (for 38.5 hours) according to the collective agreement of the automotive industry is at least €... per year. An overpayment is practiced due to corresponding experience and qualifications.
