Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a key member of our Design Enabling and Services organization, you will play a critical role in driving the development of high-speed wireline architecture and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, driving requirement discussions and defining concepts for HSIO IP development.
  • Provide consulting services to customers on the most suitable standard and circuit solutions based on their needs.
  • Represent Infineon in various standardization bodies, including automotive and die-to-die applications.
  • Take lead architectural choices based on requirements, ensuring optimal design solutions.
  • Coordinate power integrity and signal integrity analysis, providing integration guidelines and support to customers.
  • Support the integration of 3rd party IPs in larger SoCs.
Requirements
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus 10+ years of experience in high-speed wireline architecture or high-speed wireline design.
  • Solid understanding of basic high-speed wireline concepts, including voltage/current mode drivers, clock-and-data recovery, FFE, DFE, CTLE, adaptive algorithms, and sampler sensitivity.
  • Solid understanding of wireline clocking concepts and familiarity with jitter and phase noise specifications.
  • Experience with timing and voltage budgeting.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to support and mentor younger colleagues in the definition phase of a project.
Preferred Skills
  • Fluency in German.
  • Proficiency in Simulink/Matlab.
  • Solid networking in standardization bodies.
