Company Overview

We are a leading global company seeking an experienced Operations Controller to support our headquarters controlling team.

This role involves providing critical support for month-end closing, year-end closing, and planning periods, as well as serving as a key contact for system-related questions from main business partners.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Business

  • Calculate costs for all finished goods, including semi-finished goods.
  • Forecast costs of goods for new product requests from all countries.
  • Support the operations department with SAP and drive optimization.
  • Create Ad-Hoc analysis.

Planning

  • Perform all planning cycles (BP, FRE, SRE, LE) for all RBS cost centers.
  • Ensure correct data input in SAP and Oracle HFM.
  • Plan HQ costs for all products, including VISIT.

Month-End Closing

  • Perform/coordinate various checks to ensure correct month-end closing with business partners.
  • Perform production checks and ensure correct inventory levels.
  • Create management reports and perform analysis, e.g., cost variances.

Year-End Closing

  • Coordinate timelines with responsible operations departments.
  • Perform year-end revaluation for all materials and be responsible for inventory valuation.

Projects

Be responsible for various projects to drive efficiency within the organization.

Strategic projects like Copacker Management, Smart Data, Availability Management, Source-to-contract, etc.

Training/Documentation

  • Update relevant training materials and documentations.
  • Support the operations department with needed support/training.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an (operations) controller.

Degree in business administration with a focus on finance/controlling.

Excellent knowledge of German and English.

Experience with SAP ERP (FI/CO, MM/PP, SD), SAP BI, and Oracle Hyperion is beneficial.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create reports & dashboards, providing easy access to business insights.

Knowledge of statistics and statistical computer languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL, etc.) to understand and continuously improve outputs of predictive models-optimization algorithms would be a plus but is not a pre-requisite.

Experience in the area of cost-type and cost-unit controlling.

Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Analytics mindset, future vision focus, working with numbers.

Accuracy, reliability, flexibility, and result orientation.

Proactive, self-motivated, self-reliant, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,229 gross per month.

Our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
