Job Description

As a P&ID Engineer at ILF Beratende Ingenieure ZT, you will be responsible for preparing and managing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes reviewing and integrating P&IDs for package units to ensure seamless project execution, aligning and verifying layout and piping engineering deliverables to maintain technical excellence, and preparing and managing equipment lists, line lists, tie-in lists, and other essential documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage P&IDs for package units
  • Review and integrate P&IDs for seamless project execution
  • Align and verify layout and piping engineering deliverables
  • Prepare and manage equipment lists, line lists, tie-in lists, and other essential documentation
Requirements
  • Degree level qualification in a process or mechanical engineering discipline
  • Minimum of two years of experience as P&ID engineer, experience within the Oil & Gas industry is desired
  • Proficiency in producing standard, uncomplicated drawings from rough sketches, or diagrams from detailed sketches
  • Ability to operate design software (AutoCAD, Plant3D AVEVA Diagrams, SmartPlant P&ID) is desired, knowledge in COMOS is a plus
  • Competence in multitasking and managing several projects at a time
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers
  • Ability to read a P&ID
  • Fluent English skills, whereby German skills are a plus and another European language is an advantage
