Product Security Incident Response Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Security Incident Response Engineer to join our team at MED-EL. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to product security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Response: Perform intake, initial analysis, and respond to reported product vulnerabilities and security issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of product security incidents and maintain open communication channels.
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor and analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits to identify potential security risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Investigations: Assist with investigations, vulnerability findings, and inquiries related to the security of MED-EL products, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Documentation: Contribute to product security bulletins, incident reporting playbooks, and response coordination procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness in our incident response processes.
- Education: University degree or FH degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical area, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in Security Operations, Application or Product Security, PSIRT/CSIRT, DFIR, or a similar background.
- Skills: Experience with security vulnerabilities, tracking records, follow-up, and reporting, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and a team player personality.
- Language: Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
