Elevator Engineer with Focus on Mechanical Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Elevator Engineer to join our team at Otis, a global industry leader in elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service. As an Elevator Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical execution of modernization projects for elevators.

Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As an Elevator Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical execution of modernization projects, including specifying and procuring suitable components, creating plans and documents, and conducting site acceptance tests. You will work closely with the project team to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • SPECIFYING AND PROCUREMENT OF COMPONENTS: You will specify and procure suitable modernization components, taking into account the technical requirements of the project.
  • PLANNING AND DOCUMENTATION: You will create detailed plans and documents, including FOPs, BoQs, and other necessary documentation.
  • SITE ACCEPTANCE TESTS: You will conduct thorough site acceptance tests to ensure that the modernized elevator meets the required standards.
  • TEAMWORK: You will work collaboratively with the project team to achieve timely completion and high-quality results.
Requirements
  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: You should have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with modernization projects.
  • CAD SKILLS: Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software is essential.
  • Languages: Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in German or other local languages.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
