About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Semsysco GmbH. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the conceptualization, modeling, analysis, development, documentation, and test/validation of hardware associated with new semiconductor equipment.
  • Design parts using metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings/plating's, working with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives.
  • Ensure documentation is consistent with SEMI, Lam Standards, and other standards as applicable, demonstrating knowledge and ability to properly utilize them.
  • Perform analytical work to characterize and properly specify new and existing designs, including heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics, and manufacturability.
  • Develop and execute test plans that generate characterization data sufficient to understand and validate the performance of the design.
  • Develop and present reports/presentations of excellent quality that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation at design reviews.
  • Closely interact with suppliers and other Lam internal departments to ensure reception of high-quality, well-tested, and cost-optimized solutions for the defined requirements.
  • May be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly, and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle.
  • Establish standards across all operational processes.
  • Prepare all required deliverables requested by the product development plan, including FMEA, technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, and design review presentations.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design, development, and testing of mechanical systems. You should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience, or Mechanical Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience, or HTL with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • CAD (Solid Edge and NX) and PDM System (Team Center) skills are desirable.
  • Knowledge of MS Office is required.
