**Job Description**

  • We're seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team in Linz, Austria. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge data ingestion pipelines.
  • You will work on Open Pipeline or enhance data storage and analytics capabilities within Grail. Your expertise in Java 21 will enable you to prototype, design, and implement low-level components efficiently.
  • In this position, you'll be responsible for optimizing performance, ensuring the reliability and resilience of services, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • As a seasoned developer, you'll mentor and support colleagues, fostering an approachable and supportive environment. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of software.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend/core development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in managing and processing large-scale data sets is highly advantageous
