Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Global Product Support Engineer to join our team at Lam Research Corporation. As a key member of our Global Product Support Team, you will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
  • Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
  • May be involved in customer installation and training.
  • Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service products both at the factory and in the field.
  • Creates and presents reports related to design, reliability, maintenance problems, SW bugs, projects, and escalations to the relevant factory groups.
  • Support reported product issues by the field service engineers via problem reports.
  • Participates and leads as required Knowledge Management activities to share learning worldwide in order to expedite solutions, reduce repeat issues, escalations, and improve cycle time closure.
Requirements
  • Technical education in electronics, mechatronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics.
  • Completed exam of HTL in Electrical Engineering or other applicable field of study.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written). Any other language would be an asset.
  • Willingness to travel ~25% worldwide is a requirement of this position.
