ALPINE Bulk Materials Handling is a NEPEAN owned engineering, consulting and equipment supply company in the field of Mining and Bulk Materials Handling.
We specialise in complete life-cycle services for large-scale equipment in bulk terminals and mines and are subject matter experts in conveyors, balance machines and mobile equipment.
ALPINE is looking for an experienced Conveyor Engineer to join the ALPINE Australia team.
About the Role: The Conveyor Engineer will be a subject matter expert in conveyors and form an integral part of the ALPINE Australia and ALPINE global teams, which are responsible for bidding, winning and executing local and interstate conveyor projects in Australia as well as selected strategic opportunities in international markets.
In this role based in Tuggerah, the Conveyor Engineer will be responsible for leading the conveyor engineering activities during tendering and project execution.
This includes: Perform conveyor calculations, equipment selections and engineering analysis of conveyor systems and components.
Develop and deliver cost-effective, fit-for-purpose conveyor technical solutions that comply with contract requirements, relevant standards, specifications, and statutory requirements.
Provide support to the Sales and Project Execution teams in Australia and other global locations, for all conveyor technical or design related issues.
Management and coordination of internal and external design and drafting teams.
Efficiently manage tender packages from inquiry to submission, ensuring high-quality tender documentation, cost estimates, schedules, and timely delivery.
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors and manage engineering RFQs, RFIs, clarifications, negotiations and design documentation.
Attend and actively participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
Our Ideal Candidate: Min 5 years' experience within a similar role, ideally in bulk material handling background or heavy industrial/mining industry.
Suitable qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
Familiar with belt conveyors and/or materials handling equipment, with a working knowledge of their design, manufacture, assembly/fitting, installation, operation and maintenance requirements.
Proficiency in Belt Analyst conveyor calculation software and Autodesk drafting software.
General knowledge of industry and manufacturing processes.
