Birralee Community Kindergarten and Preschool is a community-based not-for-profit organisation that operates a child centre based early childhood education and care service. Birralee Community Kindergarten and Preschool has been operating in the Gladstone Community for over 50 years.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Assisting the Teacher/Nominated Supervisor in the provision of high-quality care for the children. Providing a stimulating, secure, caring, and safe environment for the children. Assisting the Teacher by preparing and maintaining equipment and materials, and the environment as required. Working as a team member. Supporting the Teacher, Nominated Supervisor & Educational Leader by providing any feedback, information, and issues of concern which will contribute to the improvement of the program. Supporting meaningful parent participation in all aspects of the service provision. Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services. Minimum one year qualification. Senior first aid certificate, including resuscitation certificate and training in the emergency management of anaphylaxis and asthma. Current Blue Card. Commitment to quality outputs and competent in information technology. General knowledge and/or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation. About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Educator for up to 37.5 hours/fortnight supporting kindy aged students working on Thursday and Friday each week. The ideal candidate would be ready for a commencement date of the 20th January 2025.
