We are currently looking for a candidate to join the Investment Management team of our Flagships Fund in Melbourne, Australia.About the team and the positionYou will join a highly motivated international group of best-in-class colleagues with exceptional experience in investments in energy and infrastructure assets.
The Investment Management team has a direct impact on the long-term success of CIP and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP.As an Associate in the Investment Management team, you will manage CIP's investments (e.g., in renewable energy generation or transmission) through the project life cycle from late development, construction and operations phase whilst also driving commercial optimizations and managing risks throughout the funds' lifetime with a focus on Australia.Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:Providing detailed analytics with a focus on the investments' risk mitigation and value creation initiatives including financial, technical, contractual, or commercial related topicsDelivering high quality reporting to CIP's senior management and investors on the investments' performanceClose interaction and collaboration with the local companies and project partners to support and optimize project deliveryInteracting closely with the senior team members in the Investment Management teamYouWe are looking for an Associate holding a degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Law.
1-2 years of work experience within investment/asset management, management consulting, or financial service industry is a pre-requisite.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of corporate finance and accounting related mattersExcellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English and ability to turn complex issues into simple and understandable solutionsAdvanced skills within Excel and PowerPoint are a requirementAbility to drive processes proactively and independently managing multiple ongoing tasks and prioritize effectivelyExperience with managing complex stakeholder environments and interacting/communicating with senior managementSelf-starter who takes ownership, drives processes forward while navigating in a fast-paced environmentTo apply for the position please upload your cover letter, resume, and other relevant documents as soon as possible as interviews will be held on an ongoing basis.
