Senior Manager, Line 1 Risk (Business Banking)Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services)The company:This company is one of Australia's largest banking and financial services providers, supporting customers across retail, business, and institutional sectors. It offers a broad range of services, including banking, wealth management, and insurance, to individuals, businesses, and corporations. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, it is committed to creating long-term value for stakeholders while supporting economic growth and communities across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region.Responsibilities:Support the different Business Units in the implementation of risk management frameworks, control testing, control implementation, and fostering a strong risk culture.Ensure risk practices align with frameworks, policies, regulatory requirements, and organisational risk appetite.Provide expertise in incident management, remediation, and root cause analysis while updating the Value Chain risk profile as needed.Assist with control identification, enhancement, testing, and ensure updates for controls and gaps before implementation.Coach and support the bank to improve risk awareness and culture, including creating and delivering educational materials.What you'll need to succeed:5-10 years of experience in the Risk Management space with strong banking/financial services/risk assessment experience, including a material risk policy component related to the relevant risk class.Experience in Risk-in-Change in a product team would be desirable.An extensive background in risk management, legal, or compliance.Strong product knowledge with everyday products such as transactions, savings, payments, etc.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
