In this exciting and developing role, you will be responsible for the following duties: Maintain the risk register, provide guidance to business units on managing risks, oversee the Enterprise Risk Committee, and develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
Maintain the breach register, develop incident response plans, and manage corrective actions to address identified risks effectively.
Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards, including AML/CTF and ACL requirements, while monitoring regulatory changes and updating policies and procedures.
Develop compliance manuals and plans, oversee the internal audit officer, and lead compliance actions identified from audits.
Promote a risk-aware culture through employee training programs and integrate risk and compliance processes into departmental operations.
You….. To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas & possess the below personal qualities: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in risk management within the financial or credit services industry In-depth understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to non-bank lenders, including ASIC and APRA guidelines.
Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the financial services industry, preferably in lending environments.
Experience managing a team, including overseeing their work and providing guidance Excellent written & verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build & maintain trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders.
