Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast-paced technology company and a leader in the world of data centers. We are looking for technical engineers who are interested in joining an elite team and eager to learn the skills necessary to maintain one of the world's largest IT infrastructures in AWS Data Centers.
The successful candidate shall follow standard processes/procedures and maintain high operational standards in supporting advanced hardware, servers, storage, and networking devices. They need to adapt to a fast and constantly changing environment and will require shift work including weekends and holidays on a 7x24 basis.
Key Job Responsibilities7x24 roster duty in data center operationsIncident first responder and onsite hands-on supportBreak-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelinesMaintain proper media operations according to process guidelinesCapacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelinesSite management and maintain tidiness in operation areasInnovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
- 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operating systems maintenance / troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of network cabling (fiber optic) and operation support experience.
- Sound understanding of incident response and prioritization.
- Basic level of English in read/write and verbal communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Industry experience in Data Center Operations.
- Knowledge of data center networking.
- Knowledge of cloud computing.
- Knowledge of continuous process improvement.
- Understanding of data center safety and security environment.
