Reporting to the Building Manager, as a Construction Manager your primary focus is to lead a team of Construction/Site Supervisors, ensuring the building quality, customer service and compliance is consistent with the Simonds brand, commitment to quality building, and values.
Some key accountabilities of this role include:Lead, coach and mentor a team of dedicated Construction Supervisors (usually 3 - 5)Monitor the build progress, ensuring that work quality and industry best practice techniques are of a high standardCompile and provide relevant data for weekly/monthly reports, including costs, quality and build timesEnsure compliance with both government and Simonds OHS policies; ensuring that safety standards are always monitored and achieved in line with relevant processes and proceduresLiaise with trades and suppliers to ensure strong working relationshipsAttend on-site and office-based meetingsWHO YOU AREWe're looking for someone who has:Advanced understanding of residential building and constructionPrevious experience in a similar role/residential building (preferred)Certificate and/or Diploma of Building & Construction (preferred)A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHSE regulations and Quality Assurance (QA) systems (mandatory)Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card (mandatory)Hold a valid driver's licence (mandatory)Ability to lead, mentor and support a diverse team in order to achieve common goalsCommitment to achieving the highest level of customer serviceProven conflict resolution and negotiation skillsAdvanced computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite and other platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detailWHY JOIN US?Aside from a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's ASX listed leading residential builders, Simonds can offer you:Great benefits across a wide range of products and services including a generous discount on our award-winning homes as well as all the great things that go in them.Access to our free employee well-being program, including counselling, nutritional, financial, and legal support for both you and your immediate family.Access to Simonds Reward Days - receive an extra day of leave per year.Opportunities for professional and personal growth through our Learning and Development programs on our inhouse Simonds Learning platform.Generous rewards and recognition.A commensurate remuneration package will be negotiated with the right candidate.If this sounds like your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you as soon as possiblePlease note: You must have unlimited Australian work rights to be considered for this role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
