An exciting opportunity as the Director Investigations and Legal has come about at the Legal Practice Board (Board ).
The Board is a statutory body, responsible for the regulation of legal services and lawyers in Western Australia.
The Board aims to be a leader in the area of regulation and prides itself on working with stakeholders to ensure an engaged, active, competent, and ethical legal profession.
About the role
Reporting to the Legal Services and Complaints Officer, this position leads the Investigations and Legal Team to deliver a comprehensive investigative and legal service to the Board in the performance of its functions.
It oversees legal matters, provides legal advice, instructs, and appears as counsel.
It is also involved in negotiating positive outcomes in matters.
The successful applicant will prepare complex reports for the Executive, the Board, and its Committees, and be responsible for determining priorities and managing the deployment of resources accordingly, providing leadership for complex matters.
