Join our team and be part of the Sage Wollongong experience, where guests enjoy memorable hospitality in an idyllic coastal setting.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Duty Manager to join the team at Sage Wollongong. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you'll lead the Front Desk team, ensuring smooth operations and an outstanding guest experience. You'll be part of a service-driven team, responsible for creating welcoming and seamless stays, making every guest feel at home.Position ResponsibilitiesAssist in the day-to-day management of the Front Desk, supporting and guiding the teamWelcome guests warmly on arrival and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out processOversee hotel operations in the absence of Senior ManagementHandle and resolve guest concerns professionally and confidentlyTrain and develop team members for future growth within the companyRespond to guest requests, provide recommendations, and upsell rooms and servicesAnswer all calls promptly, offering friendly and helpful assistanceMaintain an updated Manager on Duty (MOD) log for each shiftCheck rooms and ensure special requests are fulfilled as neededAct as the Chief Fire Warden and First Aid Officer, handling emergencies with a calm demeanorSupport night operations, including system rolloversFoster positive cross-departmental relationships and assist other teams when necessarySkills & ExperienceProven ability to create memorable guest experiences with genuine connectionsMinimum 2 years' experience in Front Office within a 4/5-star hotelExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detailProfessional grooming and presentationAbility to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and problem-solve effectivelyFlexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidaysExperience with a hotel property management systemCurrent First Aid Certificate and RSA QualificationIn Return, We Offer:Career advancement opportunities within Pro-invest GroupFood, beverage, and accommodation discounts across Pro-invest GroupA complimentary Familiarization StayEmployee referral incentive programAccess to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and commitment to a positive staff cultureWe thank all applicants for their interest in this role.
