Social Worker (Forensic Sexual Assault Response Service)Join our groundbreaking new service as a Social Worker in the Forensic Sexual Assault Response team, where you'll play a critical role in providing specialised support to survivors while shaping innovative approaches to healing and justice in a challenging and fulfilling environment.The Social Worker position involves delivering clinical social work services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This role is crucial in the care and collaborative management of individuals who disclose sexual assault and may require generalist social work skills based on specific needs.
The allied health workforce is supported to achieve clinical excellence through a commitment to improving quality, creating continuous improvement opportunities and a culture of learning and development.
Social Workers recognise the impact of the socioeconomic, cultural, psychological and political determinants on a person's health and overall wellbeing.
Social work focuses on enhancing a person's social and emotional functioning through targeted specialised interventions and mobilising services and supports.
Our Social Workers work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.
About the role:The Social Worker position is responsible for providing clinical social work services, as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
This role will be integral to the care and collaborative management of people who disclose sexual assault.
There may be variables dependent on need, with generalist Social Work skills required.
Social Workers provide complex case management, delivery of clinical services including psychosocial assessment, therapy interventions, monitoring and evaluation of high-quality social work services for patient/clients of Queensland Health within the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Mandatory possession of a Qualification degree in Social Work from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Upcoming graduates awaiting conferral of qualifications and registration will be considered for this role.Applicants must not have any ethical matters outstanding that may otherwise preclude eligibility for professional membership with the AASW.Overseas applicants must obtain a letter from the AASW confirming eligibility for professional membership and provide a copy with their position application.The successful applicant must maintain their continuing professional development at a level that would at least meet the accreditation standards of the AASW.The successful applicant is required to uphold the AASW Practice Standards 2023 and, if applicable, the AASW Practice Standards for Mental Health Social Workers 2014 and abide by the AASW Code of Ethics.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a.
