We are looking for a detail-oriented Telecommunications Network Planner to join our team.
This role focuses on managing and raising engineering orders within the Helix system, ensuring efficient planning and execution of network enhancements and decommissions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in telecommunications planning, particularly in fixed network environments, and a strong understanding of the Helix order management system.
Responsibilities: Raise Helix engineering orders for various network tasks including Business Service Edge (BSE) tunnels for shared CVCs, fiber analysis, build and cutover for L-AA sites, and service migrations.Decommission Huawei DWDM and manage NNI decommissions and downgrades.Handle the separation of business and consumer CVC, including new CVC creation and AVC migrations.Optimize TC1 and TC2 bandwidth.Ensure all engineering orders include accurate action types, task settings, descriptions, tagging, order managers, and notes.Compile detailed engineering plans and accompanying documentation to support accurate record-keeping and project delivery.Set dependencies within Helix for complex projects involving multiple orders or dependencies on other deliverables.Engage with Fiber Planning teams for specific tasks like dark fiber builds.Provide regular updates on order statuses and any issues encountered to the relevant planning teams.Maintain and update relevant databases and planning spreadsheets.Key Responsibility Areas: Proficient use of the Helix system for order management.Accurate documentation and planning to support network projects.Effective communication with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects.Requirements: Proven experience in network planning, preferably in a fixed network or telecommunications environment.Strong familiarity with the Helix order management system.Technical knowledge of network infrastructure, particularly NBN and legacy systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Relevant degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Company Description: Talisman Solutions is a company that specializes in providing smart solutions to complex problems.
