Working across a range of areas including renewables, infrastructure, and energy, it offers unique solutions across Australia from its head office not far from the CBD.With a passion for innovation, quality service, and reliability, this well-established and significant business has continued to adapt and grow.The In-House Counsel RoleThis Legal Counsel role will report to the General Counsel and sits within a sizeable national team.
It is positioned as a key role within the business to provide adept and commercially focused legal advice.
Dealing directly with the business and being mentored as required, the Legal Counsel will be involved in a broad range of commercial activities, including contract drafting and amendment, procurement, negotiations, bespoke legal advice, dispute management strategies, involvement, briefing external counsel, and reporting to senior management on contractual risks and mitigation strategies.The Lawyer We SeekThe lawyer we seek will have completed at least 3 years of PQE, up to around 6 or so, in a commercial law firm or in-house company.
They will be smart, commercially minded, and good with people, and have a good eye for detail and ability to negotiate contract terms with confidence.
