The key duties of the position include: The Assistant Director, Integrity Monitoring is responsible for the design, management and operation of a quality and integrity monitoring service for Earth observation data and satellite missions.
In this role you will: Engage satellite operators and international coordination groups such as Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS).
Identify ongoing technical and user requirements for an operational quality and integrity monitoring service.
Establish and oversee service contracts in support of the integrity monitoring capability.
Ensure technical complementarity and integration between GA's data quality and data interoperability functions.
Support the Director, Data Processing, Quality and Integrity and contribute to strategic planning.
To be successful in the role you will: Have a good understanding of issues related to integrity of Earth observation data.
Possess an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the organisation.
Have excellent people skills, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and exceptional communication abilities.
Skills, knowledge, experience and/or qualifications Our ideal candidate will have:
Existing networks and relationships with international satellite operators.
A post-graduate degree in an Earth observation discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience with international technical forums.
An in-depth understanding of internationally accepted Earth observation data standards.
A record of achievement in the development and management of commercial procurements and contracts.
