Native Space strives to empower their employees and encourages innovative solutions whilst achieving the successful delivery across all projects within the urban and civil infrastructure space.Due to continuous growth and project wins, the Native Space Landscape and Maintenance team has a career opportunity available for an experienced Garden Team Leader to join our North/West crew in Melbourne.THE ROLEIn this hands-on role as a Gardening Team Leader, you will be required to:Maintain newly developed streetscapes, parks & existing housing estatesUse of equipment such as Ride on mowing, Brush cutting, weed control & eradication, tree & garden bed maintenanceFollowing Winslow OH&S proceduresMonitoring performance of work crew and subcontractors against estimatesABOUT YOUBe physically fitStrong attention to detail and accuracyCan pass a drug and alcohol test (We have a ZERO Tolerance to drugs on ALL of our sites, projects and offices)Have a Construction Industry Card (White Card)Previous team leading/supervisor experienceGood horticulture knowledge, including Parks and Gardens, qualification highly regardedExcellent communication skills & experience in understanding plansSomeone willing to exceed the expectations of the client & take pride in your completed worksSomeone with a fantastic work ethic, an ability to work well with & lead their teamExperience in working with authorities, such as local councilExcellent client relationship managementDemonstrated rapport with subcontractorsWHAT WE OFFERCareer development and growth opportunities.Job security with a large pipeline of work.Working with new equipment.Local jobs, for local people - work close to home.A supportive and dynamic team environment.An opportunity to be a valued member of a family run and owned business where we genuinely care about our employees.Each person at NATIVE SPACE is empowered to make good decisions to look after each other as family, be accountable to each other, and always operate safely.
