Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson

Arrowquip is seeking a passionate and skilled Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our Operations division in Tamworth, NSW.
You will be responsible for designing and detailing agricultural products, performing engineering calculations, and contributing to new product development.
This role demands a high level of commitment to best practices, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.

What you bring to Arrowquip You are fearless - You take initiative, share ideas, and embrace challenges, learning from setbacks and exploring opportunities without fear of failure.You are energetic - You approach tasks with enthusiasm, contributing positively to team dynamics and maintaining high productivity and commitment.You are courageous - You speak up constructively, make tough decisions, and take responsibility, addressing conflicts directly to seek resolution.You are humble - You acknowledge others' contributions, embrace feedback for growth, and value collaboration over individual recognition.You are loyal - You are committed to Arrowquip's success, supporting colleagues, upholding ethical standards, and fostering a cohesive work environment.Key Responsibilities Design and detail agricultural products using Onshape; generate drawings, BOMs, and engineering datasheets.Perform mechanical engineering calculations and finite element stress analysis using SolidWorks.Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and operational manuals; calculate cost estimates and report to the R&D Lead.Record and evaluate testing data, adjusting designs to meet safety standards.Liaise with clients, customers, engineers, and other staff to provide engineering support; stay updated on industry best practices.Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and certification in 3D modelling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, etc.
).3 years' experience in manufacturing industries / new product development is preferred.Expertise in computer-aided design (preferably Onshape and/or SolidWorks) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.Superior mathematical and creative thinking abilities, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team.Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 a year (commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience)
