Due to growth, the team is looking to recruit an environment & planning lawyer with around 1 to 5 years pae.
This team acts for all the major councils, as well as other government agencies and private companies, including ASX-listed companies.
The Role This role will see you gaining experience in Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4, Class 5, and Class 6 proceedings.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience in planning appeals, enforcements & judicial reviews, and prosecutions.
There will also be opportunities to get involved in advisory work, especially in relation to environmental law generally and climate change issues.
The client base is a mix of major property developers, major construction companies, as well as government agencies and councils.
There will be partner access and mentoring with partners and other senior lawyers.
This firm has an open door policy and a strong pipeline of work.
About You Around 1 to 5 years post admission experience in environment & planning law (lawyers working in-house, or a Council or in government are encouraged to apply)Strong technical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a high performing team but also autonomouslyAbility to work under pressure and juggle competing deadlinesA passion for developing your career in the environment spaceCulture & BenefitsOn offer is a generous salary package plus flexible working arrangements.
