As the Finance Business Partner, you will support the Managing Director and Leadership team to drive strategy and optimize performance. Primary responsibilities include understanding the financial performance of the business and ensuring key revenue, cost, and operating income drivers are effectively understood, planned, resourced, and achieved.You will also:Business partner & advisor to business leaders and executive teams to enable them to better run their businesses.Lead the monthly Forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and annual budgeting process.End-to-end financial analysis including drivers of revenue, cost, and headcount.Provide timely, accurate, and relevant fact-based financial information & commercial insights via value-added reporting.Continuously develop and implement key performance measures, trend analyses, and other operational insights to improve transparency.Challenge business partners to fully understand risks and opportunities and strive to optimize performance.Perform competitor analysis and provide a competitor landscape to the business and support with strategic positioning.Fully contribute to the commercial development of the business, working with the senior management team, external third parties, and other stakeholders as appropriate.Critically appraise all cost-benefit analysis relating to acquisitions, disposals, capital investments, and business development proposals.Support the development & implementation of effective strategy.Drive a program of continuous improvement across financial reporting and analysis systems and processes.Collaborate with Controllership to ensure effective working capital management and compliance with accounting standards.Assist in coaching and developing junior finance colleagues.How this opportunity is differentAs an Aon colleague, you will never be limited by your job title. Be you, be unique with us.Skills and experience that will lead to successExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Strong people skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues across distinct functions and bring people together to achieve a result.Ability to influence, negotiate, lead, and coach.A curious mind, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to perform complex financial analyses (including CBAs and investments) and build financial models.Strong financial acumen, combined with a solid basis of technical accounting knowledge.CPA/CA/MBA Finance qualifications preferred with at least 7-10 years of partnering experience in finance/insurance industry.The ability to manage, organize, and analyze high volume data.The ability to think commercially, understand business drivers, provide insights, and tell the story behind the numbers.Ability to shape and inform strategy and decision-making and influence stakeholders.An eagerness to learn and a passion for improving processes.Ability to use financial IT systems to efficiently deliver service.What you'll be responsible forOrganize and present data to effectively communicate findings.Operational and Financial Reporting.Analyze financial data to prepare timely reports to support business decisions.Financial Management and ComplianceProvide expertise in areas such as financial management, budgeting, and accounting.Skills you'll needWrites in a clear and structured format to convey information and ideas effectively to a target audience.Numerical problem solving.Works with numerical information and performs mathematical calculations to solve problems.Critical thinking.Identifies and synthesizes patterns and trends amongst various sources of information to reach a meaningful conclusion, perspective, or insight.
