Our vision is to become a one stop shop for all construction hire needs, giving our customers less to worry about onsite.Elevate your future with a business that's going placesAs Head Rigger you will be leading a highly skilled team who are focused on offering quality equipment, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring safety is the highest priority.With our workshop based at Yatala, this role suits candidates from Brisbane and the Gold Coast who are willing and able to travel across SEQ.As a leader within the Electrorig business you will have access to and be supported by our McNab General Manager, HR & HSE Business Partners and Finance team.About the role:Lead and participate in rigging activities, including the prep, installation, maintenance, repair and dismantling of hoists (CMAX, YHX & Anka) as well as the installation and removal of crane decks.Manage and coordinate multiple crews including riggers, electricians, and a boilermaker to execute safe and effective rigging/electrical operations on different sites between Coolangatta and the Sunshine Coast.Build and nurture a resilient and high performing team by providing guidance and training to staff, ensuring they are well versed in best practices and safety procedures.Ensure equipment is inspected, serviced, and maintained regularly as per guidelines, including checks, repairs, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation, maintenance, repair or dismantle with the support of our Operations Manager.Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations while quickly resolving any issues that arise ensuring the highest quality of customer service.What we are looking for:Intermediate or Advanced Riggers TicketMR/HR licenseConstruction White CardExperience within the Hoist (and or Crane) industry is idealA strong knowledge of hoist rigging techniques, regulations, industry standards and mechanical aptitude will be essential to this roleDemonstrated experience in a management role and ability to lead, manage and upskill a team effectively.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and resilience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.In return:Permanent position with security and stability.A defined path for career progression within the Electrorig operations team and wider McNab business.A collaborative and supportive team culture focused on personal growth and fostering a psychologically safe workplace.A competitive hourly rate with opportunity for overtime, RDO's, and flexible scheduling.Opportunities to gain more tickets and valuable experience.$250 health and fitness subsidy (gym memberships, activewear, fishing rods etc).We genuinely care.
