We are seeking a Paralegal to join the Incorporated Legal Practice Avant Law Pty Ltd in our Melbourne team for a permanent, full-time role .
Key responsibilities for this role include: Assisting Solicitors in the management of a legal practice and contribute to the effective functioning of the Legal team.
Provide an administrative support function to Avant Law including assisting to prepare legal documentation including briefs, drafting correspondence, court filing, liaising with witnesses, experts, court and/or tribunal staff and assisting with processing of Avant Law's invoices for professional services.
Coordinating meetings and travel arrangements.
Processing accounts payable invoices, monthly billings and MasterCard reconciliations.
Assisting with general office administration.
The successful applicant will have: Previous demonstrated experience in an administrative or paralegal position in a legal environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Fast and accurate typing skills including digital dictation typing.
Experience drafting and formatting legal documentation.
The ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines and show attention to detail.
Intermediate level of competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience in preparing and maintaining legal files.
