We have an exciting permanent flexible full-time opportunity in our Medical Advisory and Prevocational Accreditation Unit based in Brisbane CBD.
In the role of Assistant Policy Officer, Medical Workforce you will be a key team member by providing essential administrative support, advice and assistance regarding the delivery and evaluation of strategic policy for the medical practitioner workforce.
The successful person You will have demonstrated:
Well-developed administrative, project management and coordination skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and set priorities to achieve results within tight deadlines.High level oral and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and liaise effectively with a diverse range of internal and external groups and stakeholders, the ability to prepare reports, data sets and presentations.Skills in the use of information technology, including e-mail, website content management systems (e.g.
Squiz Matrix), Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced skills) and PowerPoint, InDesign.About us The Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.

Clinical Planning and Service Strategy (CPSS) Division is responsible for delivering clinical service strategy and planning, workforce strategy and planning and leadership, mental health strategy and planning, and precision medicine and research functions to improve health services available to the Queensland community, optimise health gains, reduce inequalities, and maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the health system.
