As Project Cost Accountant you will report to the Finance Manager and play a key role in the project cost management within the organisation.
About the role: Your PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Ensure all costs on projects are current, up to date and accuratePrepare reports showing financial performance of projects and provide analysis/comment on variancesPrepare Weekly Project Cashflow reportsParticipate in Weekly Project Review MeetingsPrepare and assist with external auditor requestsUnderstand all commercial aspects of projects to assist in monitoring financial performanceEnsure revenue is recognised in accordance with company policy and accounting standardsProcess Contract variationsAbout you: To be considered for this role the successful candidate must:
Possess a tertiary qualification in AccountingHave a minimum 5 years' experience working both autonomously and in a team environment in Project Cost ControlTo be successful in this role you will:
Project costing experience is essentialHave experience in dealing with large geographically spread locations and multi-currency transactionsHave significant job costing experience in a manufacturing environmentPossess advanced skills in analysis and problem solvingHave significant exposure and understanding of SAPPossess advanced skills in Microsoft ExcelPossess a mature outlook, initiative and diplomacyHeat and Control Pty Ltd is a leading global manufacturer of Food Processing Systems, Product Handling Equipment and Packaging and Inspection Systems.
