Job Description:Fitzroy locationFriendly and supportive team environmentPermanent - Full time 80 hours a fortnight (including monthly ADO)About the Role The Patient Services Clerk is accountable for providing administration support and patient management within the Cancer Centre.
The PSC will be involved in admitting/discharging patients, booking outpatient clinic and treatment appointments, reception duties, MBS billing, and delivering exceptional customer service to all who visit the Cancer Centre.
Accurately enter patient admissions, attendances, discharges, appointments, and referrals in the Patient Administration System (PAS), sort mail, filing, photocopying, and other duties as required.Ensure cancer reception email inbox, telephone calls, and telehealth appointments are actioned in a timely manner.Accurately enter patient treatment bookings into PAS and Mosaiq (Booking System).Ensure all outpatient appointment transport and interpreters are organised.Accurately enter electronic billing for MBS clinics and ensure correct referral criteria.Your Contribution Previous experience in customer service and administration & the ability and willingness to manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls.Ability to work in a fast-paced department.Demonstrated high-level communication skills, written and verbal.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.Intermediate to Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.What We Offer A focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programs.Confidential, solutions-focused employee counselling.Ability to join Fitness Passport - Your pass to an extensive choice of fitness facilities.Salary Packaging – Increase your take-home payIn the heart of Fitzroy, CBD at our doorstep, close to some of Melbourne's best cafes, public transport, and lots of carparks.Discounts and Promotions always available through our Foundation.Regular opportunities for professional development to assist you to reach your career goals.Culture of continuous improvement.About the Cancer Centre The St. Vincent's Hospital Cancer Centre provides services to patients with cancer in the ambulatory setting.
This includes the Chemotherapy Day Unit and clinics for Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, Psychosocial and Palliative Care.
