About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst-Data & Records Management to take on an exciting opportunity as part of our Data Governance team.
This 15-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension, will play a key role in implementing a comprehensive data retention framework to ensure compliance with privacy regulations, including upcoming changes to Australia's privacy laws.
Domain is ahead of the curve, proactively developing solutions in anticipation of industry-wide reforms and with a shift towards GDPR-like standards and greater individual rights over personal data, this role offers a unique chance to be at the forefront of these changes.
You'll help establish critical systems and processes, positioning Domain as a trusted leader in data privacy and governance.
Key Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders across business units to assess and document the data held, its purpose, and retention requirements.
Lead stakeholder engagement workshops to gather requirements around data retention and identify areas for improvement.
Support with compliance with the Privacy Act (APP 11) and upcoming privacy reforms by building and deploying a comprehensive Data Retention Framework.
Analyse current state-to-future state processes to support an improved data retention landscape.
Produce structured process maps and detailed technical specifications to guide the implementation of data retention policies.
Collaborate with technical teams on data migration, risk management, and records lifecycle management.
Educate team members and provide training on the Data Retention Framework to ensure ongoing understanding and compliance across the organisation.

What We're Looking For
Experience in Record Retention, Data Governance, or Cyber Security, ideally focused on data privacy.
Proven experience implementing data retention and disposal in mid to large-sized organisations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and train cross-functional teams.
