A consortium between Gamuda Australia and Laing O'Rourke has been awarded a contract to start tunnelling on the Sydney Metro West project.
The Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium is looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to support the health and safety performance of all staff and drive an accountable and positive safety culture on site during night shift.
About The RoleConduct routine HSE inspections, monitoring and analysis of work areas and engage with subcontractors to build strong working relationships.Undertake incident investigations and ensure that the cause analysis and all reported is completed.Monitor compliance with the HSE systems and processes and provide operational support to the project team.Providing project leaders, site supervisors and workers with specialist guidance and advocate for positive work health and safety change.Monitor and provide advice and training for compliance to support the effective implementation of WHS legislation, policies and procedures.Your Skills And ExperienceCertificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent.Understanding of current health and safety legislation, procedures, processes, and best practices.Proven experience working on Tier 1 projects; tunnelling or rail infrastructure experience is advantageous.The Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium combines global and local innovation, with leading expertise in delivering complex tunnelling and engineering projects.
