To learn more about NIT Australia, visit our website :ABOUT THE ROLEWe at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to lead the development and delivery of the Civil Construction Design course.
This position is for a passionate Civil Engineering Professional who is enthusiastic and motivated to help others enter the field of Civil Engineering.
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated knowledge and skills in the following areas:Structural (steel, concrete and timber) engineering analysis and design to Australian StandardsPreparing structural and geotechnical documentation, drawings, and reportsUrban road design to Australian StandardsBuilding relationships and networks with civil engineering companies, equipment and technology vendorsConstruction site practices, including WHS requirements and practices.SELECTION CRITERIAMinimum three years of experience with Civil design and documentationDiploma or higher level qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalentProficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD, REVIT and Civil 3DA willingness to learn, acquire new skills and continuously improve in the role;A hands-on attitude to delivering the best solutions for training;Strong attention to detail and passion for safety, environment and quality of work;Sound level computer literacy and previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft ExcelExcellent interpersonal skillsHigh level of written and oral communication skillsEligibility to work in AustraliaEither hold or willing to complete TAE40116 - Certificate IV Training and Assessment.HOW TO APPLYTo apply for this position, submit your resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
