In this role, you'll lead the delivery of critical data across multiple systems, maintain the calculation methodologies, and implement strong controls to deliver precise and reliable general ledger and balance sheet results.
If you're passionate about finance and thrive in an environment of complexity and high impact, this opportunity is for you.About the Role (11 Month FTC)As a Senior Financial Analyst at EnergyAustralia, you will play a key role in managing complex data sets, with monthly journals exceeding $1 billion.
You'll work with millions of records each month, including data from customers, markets, networks, and billing systems, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our general ledger.
Your key accountabilities will include the following:Manage the month end financial data models and provide commercial support as requiredReview and analyse profit and loss and balance sheet positions prior to the monthly close to ensure reasonableness.Undertake analysis of complex data-sets, building blocks and topics to produce general ledger outcomes.Responsible for the accurate completion of significant profit and loss and balance sheet items having a direct impact on the company's performance assessment.Assist with variance analysis of performance against plans and forecasts along with insights into performance improvement opportunitiesEnsure compliance with the internal control framework and contribute to the development of internal controls.How can you support the Clean Energy TransitionTo be successful in this fixed-term contract, you will have the following:Tertiary qualifications in an accounting, finance, business, information technology or another relevant quantitative degree preferred.Good understanding of finance concepts and principles with 6+ years in a similar roleIntermediate skills in SQL programming and database preferredKnowledge of Energy markets, settlement procedures or relevant energy industry experience preferred.The ability to understand, analyse and explain complex concepts to a technical and non-technical audience.A high degree of business acumenWillingness to accept autonomy and responsibilityIf you share our passion for a clean energy future for all and want to join us #Doing.
