Our client is a well-established and continuously growing supplier of specialist tools, machinery and engineered products/solutions that are widely used throughout the HV and MV electrical distribution and utilities sector.
The organisation has an impressive history of continual organic growth, which has also been bolstered by the recent acquisition of a key supplier, giving the company increased control of the supply chain.
As part of the company's strategic growth plans, there is currently a newly created Distribution Sales Engineer vacancy, that will focus on managing and growing the company's distribution line materials segment throughout Australia.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, some of your key areas of focus and involvement will be the following: Building strong working relationships and acting as the primary point of contact for contracted utility distribution accounts throughout Australia;Continuously reviewing account performance and developing strategies and plans to foster continual growth;Managing the end to end bid and tender process and providing strategic pricing input for distribution line materials;Working closely with the company's logistics team to maintain appropriate stock levels to achieve DIFOT targets;Working with suppliers to address supply chain disruptions and ensure there is continuous supply of distribution line materials;Providing technical support and advice around product application and compliance to key customers (utilities and contractors);Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams around new product development, including testing and compliance;Maintaining accurate sales, customer and project records and reporting on key performance metrics.Required Experience Prior experience in a similar technical sales role, within a related area of the electrical sector;Prior experience managing contracts, supply agreements and bids to major electrical utility customers around Australia;Well-developed customer management, customer service and commercial negotiation skills;Highly motivated and passionate about assisting in the growth of a business;Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills;Strong time management, planning, organising and coordinating skills;A professional, yet down to earth approach with strong relationship building skills.To submit an application, please click below.
