AVADA Group is the only publicly listed Traffic Management Company on the Australian Stock Exchange.With the recent transition to our one brand integrated business model, this is an exciting time to join the AVADA Group as it embarks on its growth and transformation journey.The RoleReporting directly to the CFO, the Head of Finance will take full ownership of the day-to-day financial operations while contributing to the strategic direction of the company.Your key responsibilities include:Collaborate with the CFO in developing and implementing financial strategies to support business growth.Lead a large finance team that includes accountants, commercial finance business partners, account clerks, payroll, and analysts who work in a time-sensitive and demanding environment.Manage core financial functions, including mentoring, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing valuable insights to the CFO and senior management.Oversee treasury including daily cash flow, collections, payments, and covenant reporting.Assist in the preparation of financial reports (including all associated ASX reporting), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.Oversee compliance, reporting, and statutory activities including annual audit (lead contact) and taxation (GST/BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and income tax).Liaise with department heads to ensure financial targets are met and provide advice for sound financial decision-making.Support the commercial operations and commercial decision-making capabilities within the Group with the CFO.Ideal CandidateRelevant qualifications (CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent) with a solid foundation in finance and accounting.Extensive experience in a finance-related role, preferably with previous Head of Finance experience.Strong commercial experience and acumen.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to lead, motivate, and support a large team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across all levels of the organisation.Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
