This role is critical for the site's minimization of risk in both the environment and business for the Laverton Operations team.Key responsibilities:Support the implementation of environmental studies and work programs, ensuring contractors are managed safely and effectivelyAssist the team in developing and obtaining necessary environmental approvals and licencesSupport the collection, organization, and analysis of quality environmental data. Take charge of the site monitoring program, ensuring compliance and precise reportingFoster environmental awareness by providing leadership and guidance on environmental issues to site staffDeliver timely advice and education to the site team regarding environmental risk management and compliance obligationsPerform environmental compliance inspections in the workplace, focusing on engaging and supporting stakeholdersLead initiatives to enhance the site environmental management system and contribute to broader business projectsOversee the timely completion of internal and external environmental reports.Requirements:Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety and EnvironmentExperienced in the use of computer systems with emphasis on MS Office, Geographical Information systems and monitoring databasesHighly motivated and effective team leaderAbility to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and reconciling these prioritiesCurrent manual driver's licenceNational Police clearanceA tertiary qualification in environmental science or equivalent.
