The Royal Flying Doctors Service Western Operations (RFDSWO) has been providing medical services to the West Australian people for over 90 years and is one of Australia's most iconic and trusted brands.
This is a residential role based in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia, Kalgoorlie-Boulder which is situated 590 kilometres inland of Perth and is Australia's largest outback city with a population of more than 30,000 people.
We are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced doctor to provide a wide range of clinical services, including but not limited to aeromedical retrieval, telemedicine, flying medical clinics and indigenous health.
Who Are We Looking For?To be successful in this role you should have experience in the following relevant areas:
Registration, or the ability to register, with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Medical PractitionerA minimum of five years of postgraduate experienceSignificant experience in emergency medicine, anaesthesia, and acute paediatricsAble to independently manage critically ill and injured patients, including procedural skills relevant to critical care medicineExcellent communication and teamworkACEM/ANZCA/CICM/FACRRM or FRACGP or equivalent, or experienced career medical officersObstetric experiencePrimary health care experienceExperience in pre-hospital or retrieval medicineExperience in regional or remote medical practiceWhy Join Us?
