Join a listed infrastructure business with significant growth plansRole includes supporting finance, projects and budgeting & forecastingIdeally you will be a first or second mover from auditAbout the CompanyA listed business with a global footprint, cutting edge across infrastructure and technology.The Group finance team is made up of high performing, big 4 trained accountants.About the RoleA broad range of primary objectives including delivery of annual statutory audit requirements, accurate and timely month end close process, budget to actual reports, implementation of process and system improvements, contribution to monthly management reporting.Other responsibilities include:Assist with managing the general ledger including the review of various monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations;Preparation of auditor support files for both quarterly reviews and year end audits including but not limited to preparation of audit confirmations, liaising with multiple stakeholders across the organisation, preparing and collating supporting files;Maintain comprehensive records of audit queries received, actions taken, and resolutions provided, ensuring documentation is organized and easily accessible for reference;Responsible for the management of general ledgers for a number of individual subsidiaries ensuring the accuracy of entries recorded and the timely reconciliation of balances;Ensure accounting standards and policies are implemented and adhered to; Assist with the preparation of monthly finance report including compilation of flux analysis documenting key movements of balances across the Group;Assist with monitoring of capital spend and ensuring appropriately accounted for;Business partnering with other departments to ensure accuracy of accrual and prepayment process;Monthly flux analysis reporting to management;Assist with preparation of key inputs for monthly reports to investors;Assist with preparation of technical memos to support business transactions;Assist the finance team with the development and implementation of process improvements and systems enhancement initiatives;Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure deadlines are met for quarterly financial results presentations;Review financial accountant's month-end tasks, including review of manual journals, cashflow statements, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules;Support the finance team with the implementation of SOX compliant processes and procedures across the Group;Support the finance project delivery team in the implementation of a new Group Financial Reporting system;Preparation of status reports to update management on audit project timeline including monitoring of timelines across multiple teams.Skills RequiredSound knowledge of IFRS and application of accounting standards;Bachelor of Accounting or Commerce from an accredited university or college;Minimum of 4 years of Professional Accounting Firm experience with CA accreditation (or comparable);Experience working with listed organisations (clients) is highly desirable;Organisational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, working with various internal and external stakeholders;High attention to detail.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a financial accountant?How many years of accounting experience do you have?How many years of auditing experience do you have?
