Senior Governance, Risk And Compliance Analyst

About the job As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the security and integrity of systems across the organisation.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, significant experience with system accreditation processes, and expertise in conducting thorough risk assessments to enhance our overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the security and compliance of systems by developing and maintaining system accreditation documentation in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform rigorous risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, assess potential impacts, and recommend effective mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to integrate cybersecurity best practices into daily operations and align security initiatives with business objectives.
Monitor and prioritise cybersecurity tasks independently, consistently delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Continuously enhance the organisation's security posture by staying updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, evolving threats, and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
More than 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
Positive Vetting (PV) Security Clearance.
Experience with industry-specific frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
Familiarity with incident response, threat management, and vulnerability assessment tools.
Proven expertise in developing system accreditation documentation and conducting comprehensive risk assessments.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and provide actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across different levels.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in dynamic environments.

Security Requirements: To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of Positive Vetting (PV) Security Clearance.
