Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (OneSKY) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes.
OneSKY will transform Australia's sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.Your role:The OneSKY Project Quality Assurance Manager is focused on assuring that the supplied and processes implemented are in accordance with the requirements of the customer and the Thales Group, as well as with statutory regulations.Specific quality assurance activities within the operational process areas of responsibility will include projects, acquisition and heavy involvement in solution, software and hardware engineering processes.Some key responsibilities include:Check that the technical and non-technical requirements of the Customer are understood and managed efficiently by all members of the project teamCheck that the deliverables comply with the Customer's requirements and with the applicable regulations and standardsSupport project team to ensure objectives/criteria for each of the engineering project gates are achievedSupport the project teams in applying processes, identifying risks and resolving problemsAdjust project Quality Assurance actions to make sure they focus on the risks, considering the maturity of the project team, with a proactive approachOne day one you will come with:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project or Work Package ManagementUnderstanding of systems and software development principles and lifecyclesDemonstrated ability in applying quality assurance principles in delivery of products and services, ideally within a project-based organisationStrategic influencing skills including the ability to promote improvement at all levels and across all areas of the organisation.Diplomacy skills including the ability to withstand pressures and say 'no' to other managers when quality is insufficient or processes are not being adhered to.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand and critique requirements.Excellent communications skills including written and verbal English skills, the ability to prepare and present reports to a range of audiences.It's easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don't see yourself as the perfect fit.
