Are you passionate about ensuring the highest level of quality and safety within the field of airlines/aviation?We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Safety Manager to join our team and oversee quality and safety systems within the Australian AMO.We are MAF, a Christian organisation that utilises aviation and technology to provide assistance and hope to underdeveloped communities around the world.
Founded in 1945, MAF currently serves in 31 countries.MAF's history reflects a strong commitment to serving some of the most remote and hard-to-reach communities in the world.
MAF's 116 aircraft, provide vital transportation services to medical personnel, development workers, and aid organisations across the globe.
The organization also delivers Bibles, church materials, and other resources to communities with limited access to Christian teaching and worship services.We are currently looking for an experienced Quality and Safety Manager who will take the lead in overseeing the Quality and Safety function for our Australian AMO, headquarters Mareeba.
Our ideal candidate should have a good understanding of aviation safety principles and be comfortable leading, developing, and implementing safety, quality and continuous improvement strategies.

**ResponsibilitiesAs the Quality & Safety Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the effective running of the Quality and Safety Management Systems within the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO).
Developing and implementing quality and safety policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in aviation and a passion for continuous improvement, this is the perfect opportunity for you to contribute to the overall success and reputation of the biggest little airline in the world.Responsibilities:Oversee and encourage participation in the quality and safety management systemsAnalyse data and trends to pro-actively identify areas for improvementMonitor compliance with aviation regulations and industry standardsPromote a positive safety culture by training, coaching and educating staffConduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and hazardsConduct investigations of quality and safety incidentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective measuresReview and update quality and safety manuals and procedures as neededQualifications, Skills & Experience:RequirementsMeet or be prepared to meet CASA requirements for this roleWorked within a Quality and/or Safety Management systemAn experienced aircraft maintenance engineerPrevious experience within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.Desirable requirementsAn ICAO Aircraft Maintenance Engineer LicenseFurther education ie degree or equivalent in any field.Experience in Quality and/or Safety Managements systemsTraining in root cause analysis, incident investigation techniques and post-accident actions and auditingTraining in continuous improvement and lean processes.If you meet the qualifications for this role, please inquire to learn more.
